Ashley Kabugo
Canadian Certified Counsellor (#11251620)
I bring warmth and gentleness into the counselling space, creating a safe place to explore those parts of ourselves we may find difficult to face. Counselling can be a wonderful space for growth, as it often asks us to be honest with ourselves. That honesty can feel uncomfortable at times but is often the thing that comes right before a new version of us emerges.
I believe that each person has strengths and the capacity to grow. With curiosity and compassion, I support clients in making space for all parts of themselves, even those they may have learned to hide from past experiences or in an effort to fit in. I understand that life brings challenges, and my goal is to walk alongside clients during those times while helping them build insight and resilience for the future.
I work with youth, adults, and couples, supporting them with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, stress, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s needs. I draw from evidence-based methods, including mindfulness, body-based strategies, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and other skills for managing strong emotions.
